End of the Road.

Image
I had in mind a summary blog of they year and to be honest there just isn't enough time to try and recount all the ups and downs of 2009. I think i'd be lying if i said it was a great year, but then again I think it would be also untrue to say it was a bad year. Somehow it was in fact both. 2009 has been easily my most vivd in terms of experiences and the types of people i've been exposed to and met. I don't think it's appropriate to divulge any of my particular highlights or low-lights so i'll leave with a photo from my favourite scene from the New Years episode of "The O.C": (photo courtesy of The Lost Soul blog) In the words of Vinnie Jones: "It's been emotional" FRASER x

Ten for 09.

These are the Top 10 albums of 2009 that I have felt shaped my year for better or worse. Each one individually means something to me and/or reminds me of times, places and people. Remember in no order: * Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster * Morrissey - Years of Refusal * AFI - Crash Love * Tegan and Sara - Sainthood * Paramore - Brand New Eyes * La Roux - La Roux * Weezer - Radittude * Coldplay - LeftRightLeftRightLeft * The Cribs - Ignore The Ignorant * Wolf Am I - Lead The Way Honourable mentions: * A Loss For Words - The Kids Can't Lose * Copeland - The Grey Man EP * Taking Back Sunday - New Again * Twin Atlantic - Vivarium * New Found Glory - Not Without A Fight I could go into various reasons as to why each release made the list and which ones had the most impact on me musically and emotionally, cover art etc. But I feel a simple list will help to make its own derivatives. I look forward to more good music in 2010. Fraser x
