  • The company which we have come to know as Nike, inc. was first established in the mid 1960's by track athlete Philip Knight and his coach Bill Bowerman. Their ambition was to create a brand that would define what they thought to be "the endless possibilities for human potential in sports", promoting innovative thinking in terms of product development and design which would help athletes at every level of ability reach their goals.

The first product that the company (then known as Blue Ribbon Sports) were to develop were track running shoes, and although over the years they have designed and produced an all-inclusive range of sportswear and equipment, their prominence as footwear manufacturers has continued with them now being considered one of the worlds most dominant. Not only have they developed countless footwear products for sporting activities and preferences, they also have successfully produced eye catching designs and colourways appealing to many urban fashion trends.

You can have a look at all our Nike footwear at our website.

    Puma Bluebird

Originally released in 1982, the Puma Bluebird is the latest reissue from the impressively extensive Puma Archive to make an appearence at Fat Buddha Store. From it's conception, the Puma Bluebird's intention was to be a modern, lightweight running shoe. However the shoe and it's distinctive colourway were quickly adopted into the footballing culture of the 80's especially that of Cardiff City FC, nicknamed, The Bluebirds.

The original silhouette was constructed of a suede upper on a natural colour injected/moulded PVC sole unit, and although the suede is very slightly lighter in colour on the reissue and the laces a little wider, we think Puma have hit the nail on the head with this one!

The Puma Bluebird also comes in the Red Jester colourway which is seen above. Both shoes are available online and in store at Fat Buddha Store Now.
