What's Going on This Week - Rockness
Finally festival season is upon us with Rockness kicking things off this weekend from Friday the 8th June to Sunday 10th June. Let's just hope the weather picks up! This years Rockness looks to be an absolute blinder, the festival really has a bit of something for everyone ranging from Folk music through comedy and on to banging Techno. It's made all the better by the scenic loaction in Inverness where the festival is set, which looks right onto the famous Loch Ness.
Here's some of the things I'm most hyped about-
1.Chic - Disco legends Chic will be taking to the stage on Sunday with Nile Rogers, who promises a set jam packed with the greatest hits of his career. A must see!
2. A Love From outer space - Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston will be bringing their truly fantastic A Love From Outer Space show to Rockness. A special 5 hour set on Saturday of the best cosmic disco and house you'll ever hear in the Galaxy will be the best way to solve any hangovers from the Friday night. Standard.
3. Rockness Arcadia UFO - This 360 degree rave machineying saucer features high powered effects that radiate fire, light, lasers and intergalactic vibrations. Not to mention the huge sound system. Soma Records will be in charge of things on Friday, Sub Club on Saturday and Mylo captaining the UFO on Sunday.
